Matteo Coffea is one of the coolest and easy going hangout place on Church Street. This is where the so-called millennials come and go very laid-back, unperturbed about the busy outside world. Of course, there are lot many places that offers such experience in Bangalore, but I am talking solely about Church Street. Matteo was introduced to me by my close friend Kiran, a hard-core foodie whom I usually hangout with. There is something about this place which makes you indulge into, may be the dim-lit ambiance, or the chairs which oozes a pattern which resembles an amalgam of traditional and modern elements. I have visited Matteo Coffea couple of times and I think it’s time I should write a review. So here we go;

Matteo Coffea Review

It was a beautiful evening, weekend, and we were tired after a whole day shopping and travelling across. For those of you who has been to Church Street, its tiresome to walk up and down the street and so were we. We choose to sit inside and the coffee shop was almost jam packed. However, they have another seating area, inside, which was not yet open. I got to say, the indoor seating is perfect if you want some privacy. For some, the lighting may look dull, amber and scary. But, I guess the majority likes it so, keep it as such.

A visit to Matteo Coffea is incomplete, for us, without having the Cinnamon Roll. It is a MUST TRY item on the menu. I love their menu; they have lot many varieties of Coffee and Milkshakes. They do have sandwiches, Burgers, Pasta, If in case. The drinks serving sizes are Tall and Grande. Tall is more than enough for one person.

We ordered Mocha Shekerato Tall, is a combination of espresso, ice cream, chocolate sauce, milk and topped with whipped cream. Espresso Shekerato is blend of espresso, ice cream, milk, whipped cream and topped with cinnamon powder.

Café Latte, like always, a perfect mix of milk and espresso.

The place will get crowded during weekends. The service could be improved or it is like that, may be because most of the people are here to talk, even the staffs don’t want to intrude. The restroom design looks bit alienated from rest of the place. To the management, kindly put a schedule to clean the restrooms every now and then as I found it not clean many times.

The best part, what you see is what you pay. Yes! There is no separate tax breakups and menu price is inclusive all taxes. Overall, always a great experience being here. I would love to visit again and happy to recommend this place to anyone.
